Giáng Hương reflects on the musical legacy of composer Phú Quang

Giáng Hương, the daughter of the late Vietnamese composer Phú Quang, has shared reflections on her father’s life and his enduring musical legacy. Although she did not pursue a professional music career like her elder sister, pianist Nguyễn Trinh Hương, Giáng Hương has spent the five years since her father's passing editing his works for various musical programs.

Giáng Hương, who currently works as a lecturer, describes her father as a talented, witty, and resilient individual. She notes that his music has been a constant presence in her life since before she was born. In her role as an editor, she selects songs and structures programs based on her deep familiarity with his melodies, often relying on her lifelong connection to his compositions to preserve his artistic impact.
