Ginger Hotels reaches 100-property milestone in India

Ginger, the mid-scale brand of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), has reached a milestone of 100 operating hotels in India. This achievement makes it the first mid-scale hotel brand in the country to reach this number of operational properties.

The brand's total portfolio includes 250 hotels, with 95 currently under development and 55 undergoing brand migration, which is expected to be completed by March 31, 2027. Future expansion plans include significant projects at major transit hubs, such as a 325-key hotel at Bengaluru International Airport, a 300-key hotel at Manohar International Airport in Goa, and properties at Mumbai Terminal 2 and Kolkata Airport.

IHCL executives noted that the expansion is driven by strong demand in the mid-scale hospitality segment as India's economy and infrastructure grow. The brand intends to continue its growth through a combination of operating leases, selective investments, and strategic partnerships.
