Gino Iorio wins Spoleto literature prize for novel on Niccolò Jommelli

Writer Gino Iorio has been awarded the Literature Prize at the Menotti Festival Art in Spoleto. The recognition was presented at Palazzo Mauri for his novel Niccolò Jommelli, a work that explores the personal life and passions of the 18th-century composer, who was also Iorio’s ancestor.

Collaborators Rosanna Della Valle and Maria Ventre also received awards for their contributions to the project, which integrates literature, music, and visual arts. This award follows several previous recognitions for Iorio’s literary work by the Italian Institute of Culture in Naples between 2022 and 2025.
