Gio Reyna in talks to move from Borussia Mönchengladbach to Strasbourg
U.S. midfielder Gio Reyna, 23, is reportedly in advanced discussions to join Ligue 1 side Strasbourg from his current club Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Athletic says the French club is exploring a transfer after Reyna’s limited playing time in Germany – 20 appearances, about 500 minutes and one goal in the 2025‑26 season.
Reyna featured for the United States at the 2026 World Cup, scoring in a 4‑1 victory over Paraguay and playing in all five matches. A move to Strasbourg would be his fourth club in four seasons and would place him under the ownership of BlueCo, the consortium that also owns Chelsea and is led by American businessman Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
