Gioia dei Marsi hosts Premio Gioia awards and ecological cleanup

The third edition of the Premio Gioia was held in Gioia dei Marsi, an event organized by the local administration to celebrate cultural and civic excellence. A central highlight of the gala was the conferral of honorary citizenship upon international singer Gianluca Ginoble of ‘Il Volo’.

Other recipients of the awards included journalist Luca Telese, writer Donatella Di Pietrantonio, entrepreneur Umberto Di Carlo, and several high-ranking officials from the Carabinieri and State Police. The evening featured musical performances by the Orchestra Tesori d’Abruzzo.

In a separate community effort, the ‘Pensatoio’ area in Gioia dei Marsi underwent an ecological cleanup day. The initiative was led by the Retake Association and the Municipal Civil Protection Volunteers, with participation from local citizens to restore the decorum of the communal green spaces.
