Giorgia Bronzini joins Visma | Lease a Bike as sports director

Two-time world champion Giorgia Bronzini has been appointed as a sports director for the Visma | Lease a Bike women's team, starting next season. Bronzini, who previously worked for Lidl-Trek, Liv Racing, and Human Powered Health, will focus on tactical race management and the development of younger riders.

The move marks a notable reunion with former long-term rival Marianne Vos, who is currently an active rider for the team. Bronzini noted that while they competed against each other for many years, there has always been great respect between them, and she is enthusiastic about supporting Vos in achieving her professional goals.

Team manager Rutger Tijssen highlighted Bronzini's value, stating that her deep understanding of the dynamics within the women's peloton will be a significant asset to the squad.
