Pedro Sánchez contrasts Spanish government longevity with Giorgia Meloni

Sánchez attributed Spain's political stability to its economic performance, claiming the country has seen growth four times the European average and the creation of nearly half a million jobs annually since the pandemic. He also referenced political shifts in other European nations, such as the rise of the far-right in Germany, to underscore the importance of stability.

In Italy, Meloni's government has achieved a significant milestone by marking over 1,400 consecutive days in office, surpassing the previous record held by Silvio Berlusconi's second administration. Analysts note that her coalition's endurance is driven by the dominance of her party, Brothers of Italy, which maintains a clear lead over its junior partners, the League and Forza Italia.
