Giorgia Meloni addresses Notaries Congress amid series of explosions in Rome
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni addressed the 62nd National Congress of Notaries in Rome, describing notaries as precious allies of the State in the fight against crime.
Her speech coincided with a surge in explosive incidents in the Rome area. A paper bomb detonated at a Snai betting shop in Ciampino, and another device exploded at a residential building in Ostia, causing two injuries and leaving eleven families displaced.
Local advocacy group Libera Lazio reported four bombs within a five-day period. Investigations are focusing on the southeastern quadrant of Rome, an area historically linked to the Michele Senese clan. Authorities are examining whether these attacks stem from internal factional disputes following recent arrests or conflicts between established groups and new criminal elements.
