Giorgia Meloni to attend Saladini Pilastri restoration in Ascoli Piceno

Giorgia Meloni Ascoli Piceno Saladini Pilastri urban regeneration PNRR

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is scheduled to attend the inauguration and presentation of the redevelopment works for the Saladini Pilastri residence in Ascoli Piceno on Thursday, October 8.

The approximately 39 million euro project, funded via the PNRR, involves the restoration of the historic palace, the Sant’Egidio church, and a monumental garden. The redevelopment covers 9,000 square meters of public space and includes a one-hectare Italian garden.

Key features of the revitalized complex include a four-star hotel with 26 rooms and dining facilities. In a social initiative, the hotel and restaurant will be managed by individuals with disabilities as part of an ethical hospitality project. The site, which became municipal property in 2022, aims to repurpose long-unused heritage for social and community functions.
