Giorgian De Arrascaeta begins ball training with Flamengo

Flamengo midfielder Giorgian De Arrascaeta has begun individual training with a ball at Ninho do Urubu as he recovers from wrist surgery. The Uruguayan player underwent the procedure on October 1 following a fracture sustained while playing for his national team.

While the player is progressing and performing light exercises, he has not yet been reintegrated into full team training. The coaching staff, led by Leonardo Jardim, is maintaining a cautious approach to prevent any impact or falls that could aggravate the operated wrist.

Arrascaeta's participation in the upcoming Libertadores semifinal against Estudiantes on October 22 is considered unlikely. The club's medical department is monitoring his healing through X-rays, with a full return to competitive play expected in November, provided medical examinations confirm the fracture has consolidated.
