Giorgio Mulè commemorates slain judges in Sicily

Giorgio Mulè, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, traveled to Sicily to participate in commemorations marking the 38th anniversary of the assassinations of Judge Antonino Saetta and his son, Stefano.

During the Legality Week events, Mulè laid a wreath at the monument in Contrada Giulfo, the site of the attack. He noted that the mafia targeted Saetta to intimidate the judiciary, but argued that such attempts at intimidation failed, as the judge's legacy now strengthens the fight against organized crime.

The commemorations continued in Canicattì with an eucharistic celebration and visits to honor the memory of Blessed Judge Rosario Livatino. Mulè visited the House of Memory and a photographic exhibition dedicated to Livatino, emphasizing that the sacrifices made by these magistrates have become a living heritage for the community in their ongoing struggle against criminality.
