Giorgio Scalvini draws Premier League interest from Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham

Atalanta centre‑back Giorgio Scalvini, 22, is the subject of a transfer race involving several English clubs. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have been reported to monitor the defender, with a valuation of roughly €40‑42 million, while Newcastle United have also revived their pursuit.

Scalvini’s agent, Ali Barat of Epic Sports, is described as “very active” in the English market. He confirmed enquiries from Chelsea and Newcastle, and noted that Atalanta, where the player has two years left on his contract, is seeking a high fee. Newcastle’s interest comes amid a managerial change, with Eddie Howe stepping down and Matthias Jaissle expected to take over. Chelsea, under manager Xabi Alonso, have signalled intent, and Tottenham have already added other centre‑backs to their squad.
