Giorgos Athanasidis returns to Iraklis as veteran goalkeeper

Greek goalkeeper Giorgos Athanasidis announced his return to Iraklis FC, the club where he began his professional career. He said he felt great joy and emotion at the prospect of re‑joining the team, describing the move as the closing of one circle and the opening of another.

Athanasidis, now in his early thirties, said he comes back more mature, with experience from playing in several European leagues, and is eager to help Iraklis achieve its goals.
