Giorgos Koutsiass excels in early Portuguese league campaign

Greek forward Giorgos Koutsiass has made a significant impact in the Portuguese league following his €2.5 million transfer from Lugano last July. In his first seven appearances for Famalicão, the 22-year-old has scored five goals, marking the best start to a new team in his career.

Koutsiass has been a central figure in Famalicão's offensive efforts, accounting for more than half of the team's nine total goals this season. His recent performance included a standout display in a 4-0 victory against Nacional, where he scored twice, earning MVP honors.

Currently, Koutsiass ranks as the third-highest scorer in the league, trailing only Vangelis Pavlidis and Sporting Lisbon's Suárez. Notably, all five of his goals have been scored in away matches.
