Giorgos Liagas comments on Olga Kefalogianni custody ruling

Television presenter Giorgos Liagas shared his personal perspective on child custody issues following the Athens Court of Appeals' decision to reject Olga Kefalogianni's appeal for sole custody of her children with Mino Matsas.

Speaking on the program “Proino,” Liagas, a divorced father, expressed his emotional distress regarding the impact of such legal battles on children. He criticized the practice of forcing children to choose between parents, stating that even with judicial discretion, the core question often forces a child to decide between staying with one parent or the other. He further remarked that attempts at joint custody can sometimes result in children being treated like “ping pong balls” as they are moved between households, adding that the sight of children being transported back and forth is deeply painful.
