Giorgos Liagas denounces NGO allegations on ANT1

During a broadcast of “To Proino” on ANT1, presenter Giorgos Liagas expressed intense anger regarding allegations involving the NGO “Paidiki Chara.” Liagas accused individuals associated with the organization of exploiting the suffering of children with cancer and their families to collect funds, which were allegedly laundered through gambling companies and rigged games.

Footballer Tasos Chatzigiovanis appeared on the program to discuss his personal experience with the NGO. He shared that he had personally donated money to support a young boy, Othonas Dimitris, who was battling cancer. Chatzigiovanis expressed deep sadness, noting that despite his efforts to help provide a second chance at life, the child has passed away.

Liagas characterized the actions of those involved as “inhumane” rather than mere fraud, stating that the upcoming journalistic revelations regarding the matter would be chilling. He also alluded to potential involvement of various influencers in the case.
