Giorgos Liagas' Ongoing Negotiations with Greek Channel ANT1

Greek television presenter Giorgos Liagas delivered a forceful statement on the morning of 16 June, responding to comments made by fellow host Grigoris Arnaoutoglou. Liagas said he wants to “stop this nonsense” («Για να τελειώνουμε με αυτή την ανοησία») and emphasized his commitment to voice opinions on social issues.

At the same time, the ANT1 network is finalising the terms of Liagas’ contract. Reports on 15 June indicated that the channel’s strategic planning director, Chrysa Masoúrou, had left, and entertainment director Giota Spanou’s contract is ending in August. The negotiations are now being handled directly by the program director. While some staff such as Despina Kampouri have already departed, Liagas is expected to continue working with colleagues Tasos Tergiakis and Fotini Petrogianni if an agreement is reached.
