Giorgos Liagkas faces uncertain ANT1 contract renewal and panel cuts

ANT1 is negotiating the renewal of presenter Giorgos Liagkas' contract for the morning show “Πρωινό.” Liagkas has asked that the program keep at least four panel members, while reports indicate that Despina Kambouri may leave and other collaborators could stay. Host Dimitris Panopoulos responded with a sarcastic remark, saying, “Anything you sow, you will reap,” and critiqued the potential reduction of the team.

The broadcaster also warned of a sharp drop in advertising revenue shifting to the internet, which could force budget cuts for TV programmes. Liagkas said he does not know whether he will return to television next season, describing his situation as “a difficult position.”
