Giorgos Liagkas revamps ANT1’s ‘Morning’ with new panel
Giorgos Liagkas is overseeing a major reshuffle of the ANT1 morning programme “Πρωινό” ahead of the new television season. The show will run for a shortened 2.5‑hour slot from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and its production budget has been sharply reduced.
Key on‑air roles are being filled by Taso Tergiakis and Fotini Petrogianni, while journalist Nóra Kaouri is set to join the panel after moving from another morning show. Talks are also under way about bringing back veteran presenter Dimitris Ougarezos, potentially for both the television edition and a new radio slot on the ANT1 group’s station. Senior editorial staff changes include chief editor Chrysoula Zorkadi remaining in charge, with George Beza as deputy chief editor and several assistant editors departing.
The overhaul aims to maintain a strong core while introducing fresh faces, all within tighter financial constraints.
