Giorgos Papadakis left ANT1 with bitterness, says son

Foivos Papadakis has spoken about the departure of his father, veteran journalist Giorgos Papadakis, from the ANT1 television network. Speaking on the program ‘Protos Kafes’, Foivos expressed deep sadness regarding how his father left the channel, stating that the journalist did not deserve to depart with such bitterness after 34 years of service.

Foivos described his father as a dedicated professional who viewed the morning show ‘Kalimera Ellada’ as his own child. He noted that Giorgos Papadakis remained committed to his post regardless of circumstances, even continuing to broadcast despite suffering a minor heart attack. The journalist, who passed away in January, was considered the foundational figure of the network's morning programming.
