Giorgos Zenios to take legal action over AI video

Cypriot actor Giorgos Zenios has announced his intention to take legal action following the circulation of an artificial intelligence-generated video featuring his iconic character, Rikkos Pappouros.

The AI video depicts the character physically assaulting various public figures, including former Presidents of the Republic and Presidents of the House. Zenios expressed outrage, stating that the content is “a disgrace” and not humorous. He noted that the video has caused significant personal and professional issues, as some viewers mistakenly believe he was involved in its creation or that the video reflects his own political stances.

The creator of the video, acting on behalf of a production team, has issued an apology to Zenios for using the character without prior communication.
