Giovani Democratici elect new regional leadership in Abruzzo

The Giovani Democratici (GD) of Abruzzo have elected a new regional leadership team during a regional assembly held in Pescara. The new leadership features a generational renewal, with representatives from all four provinces of the Abruzzo region.

Saverio Gileno serves as the regional secretary, joined by Caterina Marzi as the new regional vice-secretary. The group aims to focus on several key policy areas in preparation for upcoming political and administrative challenges, including economic development, employment, industrial policy, peace, European roles, security, public transport, healthcare, and women's rights.

Gileno emphasized the importance of addressing issues that affect the local territory to prevent young people from being forced to leave the region. He also highlighted the goal of building a center-left coalition based on a shared project and coherent political positions.
