Giovanni Baiardo confirmed as head coach of Pizzighettone basketball team

The Basket Team 1995 Pizzighettone announced that Giovanni Baiardo will remain as head coach for a third consecutive season. The Genoa‑born coach led the club through a strong campaign that narrowly missed promotion to Serie B Nazionale, falling short in the admission playoffs and later failing to secure a repêchage. Baiardo, who began his career at CAP Genova and later won three Italian youth titles with Stella Azzurra Roma, also coached Fortitudo Roma, Vanoli Cremona’s youth sector, Sansebasket Cremona and Corona Platina before joining Pizzighettone. He emphasized continuity as a key advantage, stating that keeping most of the roster will help the team turn the disappointment of missing repêchage into motivation. The club’s goal, according to Baiardo, is to win one game at a time and treat each match as a final.
