Vibo Valentia: Death threats against Council President Antonio Iannello

Antonio Iannello, the President of the City Council in Vibo Valentia, has received two anonymous death threats via telephone. These recent incidents follow a serious attack last Christmas, during which shots were fired at his vehicle and residence.

Vibo Valentia Mayor Enzo Romeo expressed strong solidarity with Iannello, describing the events as vile and cowardly criminal acts that threaten the serenity of the official and his family. Local political groups, including the Democratic Party, have called for increased investigative attention to determine if there is a connection between these new threats and the previous assassination attempt.

Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the origin of the calls to identify the perpetrators.
