Giovanni Segreti Bruno to open Samurai Jay concert in Rende
Calabrian singer-songwriter Giovanni Segreti Bruno is scheduled to open the concert for Samurai Jay on September 27. The performance will take place in Piazza Kennedy, in the area in front of the Museo del Presente in Rende, as part of the 61st edition of the Settembre Rendese festival.
The event brings together two distinct musical styles: Segreti Bruno’s fusion of traditional Calabrian rhythms, such as tarantella and dialect, with contemporary pop and electronic sounds, and Samurai Jay’s urban, rap, and trap influences.
Samurai Jay, the stage name of Gennaro Amatore, is a Neapolitan artist who debuted in the Big category at the 2026 Sanremo Festival with the song ‘Ossessione’. Segreti Bruno, who won the 2025 Amnesty International Italia Emergenti Prize for ‘Notre Drame’, will perform works including ‘MUSCIARÌA’ and ‘Scacciapensieri’.
