Giovanni Zarraella reveals summer allergy woes and past double life in podcast

German schlager star and ZDF presenter Giovanni Zarraella disclosed that he is suffering from severe hay‑fever this summer, which has left his voice hoarse and caused discomfort after his shows. He said the pollen season has revived symptoms that had been manageable after years of immunotherapy, and that he is using only minimal medication to control the condition ahead of upcoming performances, including a recording of his "Giovanni Zarraella Show" in the ZDF Fernsehgarten.

In a separate podcast interview, Zarraella also opened up about a difficult period after the breakup of his former band Bro’Sis. He admitted to leading a "double life" by misleading his wife Jana Ina about his daily activities, feeling lost and insecure, and eventually finding stability after the birth of his son in 2008. He now describes his family life as settled and harmonious.
