Giovanni Zarrella Show celebrates five-year milestone on ZDF

The Giovanni Zarrella Show, a prominent music program on ZDF, is celebrating its five-year anniversary. Since its premiere in September 2021, the show has featured over 600 musical performances, including duets and medleys. Maite Kelly holds the record for the most frequent guest with 15 appearances, followed by Kerstin Ott and Nino de Angelo with 11 each.

In recent developments, singer Andreas Gabalier performed a new Italian version of his hit ‘I sing a Liad für di’ alongside Pietro Basile during the show. Gabalier is also expanding his musical repertoire with English-language tracks and is preparing for a jubilee tour in 2026.

Additionally, host Giovanni Zarrella recently shared personal reflections in a podcast regarding a difficult period in his life following the dissolution of the band Bro’Sis in 2006. He described a time of professional uncertainty and personal identity crises that lasted until the birth of his son in 2008.
