The ZDF‑produced "Giovanni Zarrella Show" will hold its first open‑air edition on the Fernsehgarten grounds in Mainz in August 2026. A public rehearsal is scheduled for Friday, 7 August, followed by the live recording on Saturday, 8 August; the broadcast is planned for 29 August.

Ticket sales begin on 29 June, with standing‑area tickets still available. Children under 12 are not admitted, and tickets must be personalized by 9 a.m. on the event day. The programme will feature three hours of live music from national and international acts, including Chris Papendieck, Kerstin Ott, Semino Rossi and Vanessa Mai. The regular Fernsehgarten episode on 9 August will be cancelled to make way for the special open‑air show.

The event is organised by ZDF, which also notes that technical interruptions may occur during the rehearsal and that the final televised line‑up could differ from the live performance.
