Giovanni Zarrella's Open‑Air Summer Show at ZDF Fernsehgarten
ZDF will stage Giovanni Zarrella's first open‑air “Sommerparty” on the Fernsehgarten grounds in Mainz on 8 August 2026. A public general rehearsal is scheduled for 7 August, and the televised broadcast is expected in late August. Ticket sales begin on 29 June at 10 a.m.; tickets must be personalized by 9 a.m. on the event day and are not sold to children under 12. The lineup includes Kerstin Ott, Semino Rossi, Vanessa Mai, Chris Papendieck and his band, with additional national and international pop and schlager acts to be announced.
The event causes the regular Fernsehgarten edition on 9 August to be cancelled, as the garden will host Zarrella’s show instead.
Separately, a Zarrella concert in Butzbach on 26 June faces forecast temperatures above 33 °C. Organisers allow attendees to bring one opened 0.5‑liter PET water bottle free of charge, provide shaded areas, a misting system and reduced drink prices to protect health under the heatwave.
