Gipsy Kings and Sidney Magal launch joint Brazil tour for 2026
The French rumba flamenca group Gipsy Kings and Brazilian singer Sidney Magal announced a joint concert tour across Brazil, scheduled for November and December 2026. It will be the first time the band, led by Diego Baliardo, shares the stage with Magal, who will be celebrating six decades of his career. The tour will visit five major cities: Porto Alegre (Nov 27), São Paulo (Nov 28), Rio de Janeiro (Nov 29), Belo Horizonte (Dec 4) and conclude in Brasília (Dec 5). The shows will blend the Gipsy Kings' classic hits such as “Bamboleo”, “Djobi Djoba”, “Baila Me” and “Volare” with Magal’s Brazilian repertoire, aiming to attract audiences of different generations.
Both artists are noted for high‑energy live performances; the Gipsy Kings have sold over 20 million albums and won a Grammy for Best World Music Album, while Magal is a long‑standing icon of MPB. The partnership is presented as a unique cultural event for Brazilian fans, combining flamenco‑style rumba with Brazilian popular music.
