Gipuzkoa confectionery sector reaches new labor agreement

The CCOO union has signed a new collective bargaining agreement for the confectionery sector in Gipuzkoa, covering the 2024-2026 period. The agreement focuses on protecting purchasing power against inflation and improving working conditions.

Key provisions include retroactive wage increases of 3.1% for 2024, 3% for 2025, and 2.9% for 2026. The pact also mandates a reduction in working hours, aiming for a limit of 1,726 annual hours by 2026, representing a five-hour decrease.

Additionally, the agreement updates leave policies to align with the new Workers' Statute, eliminates obsolete professional categories, and adjusts transportation allowances. It also introduces mandatory protocols against sexual harassment and specific measures to prevent discrimination based on sexual orientation, identity, and gender expression (LGTBI).
