Giridih: Man shot dead in broad daylight, sparking local protests

A man was shot and killed in broad daylight on Friday morning near the Hesla-Kapsa turn in the Bagodar police station area of Jharkhand's Giridih district. The victim, identified as Mithilesh Yadav, a resident of Hesla who operated a vehicle washing and servicing workshop, died at the scene.

Following the incident, local residents staged a protest and blocked the road, causing significant traffic congestion. The demonstrators demanded the immediate arrest of the perpetrators and justice for the victim's family.

Police officials, including DSP Dhananjay Ram and Inspector Ajay Kumar, arrived at the scene to manage the situation and negotiate with the protesters. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage and investigating potential motives, including personal disputes or old enmities.
