Girls' Generation-HRS debuts with new single ‘Skibidi’

Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung, members of the K-pop group Girls' Generation, have officially debuted as a new unit named Girls' Generation-HRS. The trio released their debut digital single, ‘Skibidi’, on August 31. The title track features a blend of house and hip-hop with Arabic-inspired string samples, while the b-side, ‘Lowkey In Love’, offers a retro-inspired sound.

The unit originated from a mockumentary series titled “Fake Kim Hyoyeon” on Hyoyeon’s YouTube channel, “Hyo’s Level Up”. The series depicted a comedic rivalry between the trio and the vocal subunit Girls' Generation-TTS. Following significant online interest and millions of views on the series, the project transitioned into a formal musical debut. The members recently performed the new tracks at the 2026 CassCool Festival in Gwacheon.
