Girls' Generation members debut new unit HRS

Girls' Generation-HRS K-pop SM Entertainment Skibidi Hyoyeon

SM Entertainment has announced the debut of Girls' Generation-HRS, a new unit consisting of group members Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung. The unit is scheduled to release its first digital single, titled ‘Skibidi’, on August 31, 2026.

The debut single will feature two tracks: the title song ‘Skibidi’, which blends house and hip-hop with Arabian-inspired string samples, and a B-side titled ‘Lowkey In Love’, described as a retro-inspired dance-pop track. The unit recently provided a live preview of the songs at the 2026 CassCool Festival in Gwacheon.

The formation of the unit originated from content on Hyoyeon’s personal YouTube channel, ‘Hyo’s Level Up’, where the members participated in a humorous series regarding group positions. What began as a digital project has now transitioned into an official musical unit.
