Girne knife attack kills Nizam Allanazarov, seven suspects detained

In the early hours of the morning (around 01:30) on a birthday gathering in Girne, Northern Cyprus, a dispute escalated into a stabbing. Forty‑year‑old Nizam Allanazarov was fatally wounded in the neck, and a second person, identified as R. A. (37), sustained injuries before being taken to Akçiçek Hospital. Police investigations linked the violence to a group of seven individuals who were arrested at the scene and later ordered to remain in custody for an additional day pending further inquiry.

Investigators reported that a knife measuring 39 cm was used, that drugs were found in a vehicle associated with the suspects, and that additional evidence such as clothing and the weapon itself had been collected. Judge Mine Gündüz Serden authorized the extended detention, and the case remains under ongoing investigation.
