Girne Municipality and Creditwest Bank partner for digital payments

Girne Municipality and Creditwest Bank have formalized a digital payment partnership through a new protocol. Under this agreement, citizens can use the bank’s mobile application, Local Pay, to pay various municipal fees digitally at any time.

Services available through the app include water bills, property taxes, business taxes, traffic fines, and parking meter payments. The integration of parking meter payments is specifically designed to allow users to pay via mobile phone without needing cash, which aims to speed up parking processes and improve traffic flow in high-density areas.

Girne Mayor Murat Şenkul stated that the online payment option will significantly contribute to the efficiency of municipal services. He noted that the partnership with local banks is a priority for his administration and expressed optimism regarding the impact on traffic reduction and service accessibility.
