Giro d’Italia 2027 route details leaked ahead of official presentation
Leaked details regarding the route for the 110th edition of the Giro d’Italia, scheduled for May 8–30, 2027, have emerged ahead of the official presentation in Rome on November 3.
The race is expected to start in Trieste, with a potential passage through Slovenia. The route is anticipated to head south along the Adriatic coast, with Naples serving as a significant southern point. Key features of the early stages include a potential climbing time trial from Sulmona to Campo di Giove in the Abruzzo region.
Reports suggest the second week may include a time trial at the Monza circuit and mountain finishes at Zum Zeri in the Apennines. The third week is expected to be the most decisive, potentially featuring the Passo del Gavia and multiple crossings of the Mortirolo pass. The Monte Zoncolan is also rumored to return to the program, serving as a major finale before the race concludes in Rome.
