Giro d'Italia Women 2026: Celia Gery wins Stage 7, Demi Vollering claims Stage 8
Celia Gery (FDJ United–Suez) won the seventh stage of the 2026 Giro d'Italia Women in Salice Terme, completing the 159 km race in 3 h 51 min 13 s. Anna Van der Breggen (Team SD Worx–Protime) retained the pink leader's jersey, with Demi Vollering (FDJ United–Suez) second and Antonia Niedermaier third.
The eighth stage, originally set to finish at the Colle delle Finestre, was shortened for safety after officials reported an unstable ice sheet on the road. Demi Vollering secured the stage victory by accelerating in the final metres, finishing ahead of Chantal Holmgren and Antonia Niedermaier.
Both stages were part of the Italian women's Grand Tour, highlighting key contenders for the overall classifications.
