Girona begins annual Feria festival with record attendance expected

The city of Girona has commenced its annual Feria festival, a major autumn celebration in Catalonia. The event features more than 200 activities scheduled over approximately ten days.

Following the return to normalcy after the pandemic, the festival has seen significant growth in participation. In 2022, cultural and popular events drew an estimated 180,000 people, while last year saw attendance exceed 210,000 participants. Popular venues such as the stalls at La Copa host concerts that attract between 10,000 and 12,000 people per performance. Additionally, local museums and cultural sites report high engagement, often exceeding 20,000 visitors through guided tours and open-house days.
