Girona kicks off Sant Narcís Fairs with choral performances and football victory

The Sant Narcís Fairs in Girona officially commenced this Friday evening with a ceremonial proclamation featuring four historic local choirs: Cor Maragall, Capella Polifònica de Girona, Cor Filharmonia, and Coral del GEiEG. Approximately 180 singers performed at Plaça del Vi, highlighting choral singing as a vital element of the city's cultural identity and social cohesion.

Girona FC also secured a significant 5-1 victory against Celta Fortuna at Montilivi. The match was highlighted by a hat-trick from Vanat, who scored three goals, and a strong performance from Unai Hernández. This win helps the team maintain momentum in the league, having lost only one of their last nine matches.

The festive weekend in the city is further supported by various cultural events, including a concert by Miki Núñez at the fair stalls.
