Gironde Prefectural Order Cancels 'La Piste sous les étoiles' Festival

A prefectural decree banned all sports and cultural gatherings in the Gironde department until the morning of 8 August 2026. As a result, the "La Piste sous les étoiles" evening scheduled for 1 August was cancelled. The event, which was to feature the rock group 78 Tours and host dozens of local food stalls, had already been postponed once earlier by Mayor Stéphanie Sanchis before the higher‑level authority intervened.

The cancellation applies to the entire department, halting any similar public performances or competitions during the specified period.
