Girteka opens new truck service center in Coesfeld, Germany

Lithuanian logistics company Girteka has opened a new truck service center in Coesfeld, Germany. The facility has the capacity to service up to 20 trucks or 10 combinations of tractors and trailers simultaneously. The site includes a TÜV inspection line to facilitate mandatory technical inspections on-site.

This expansion is part of a strategic effort to build an in-house maintenance network near major European transport corridors. By developing its own infrastructure, Girteka aims to reduce reliance on external service providers, minimize vehicle downtime, and lower costs. The company manages a large fleet of over 6,500 trucks and 8,000 trailers.

According to CEO Edvardas Liachovičius, the investment is crucial for maintaining reliability, particularly for high-value and temperature-sensitive cargo. This new German facility follows the opening of a similar service center in Padborg, Denmark, earlier this year.
