GIS Cloud doubles user growth through AI-powered geospatial intelligence
GIS Cloud, an online mapping technology scaleup, has reported a doubling of its user growth. The company now reaches more than 220,000 users across more than 30 industries and 60 countries, with over two million maps created to date.
This growth is attributed to the launch of GIS Cloud AI, which allows users to interact with maps and spatial data using plain-language prompts. The technology aims to reduce reliance on specialist GIS teams by making geospatial intelligence more accessible. The company has also developed connectors for ChatGPT and Claude, as well as an AI Form Fill capability designed to speed up manual data entry for field teams.
Organizations such as Asterra, Pipe View America, and InfraTrace have adopted the platform. CEO Dino Ravnic stated that AI has removed previous bottlenecks by allowing users to ask questions of their data in plain language and receive answers in seconds.
