Gisèle Pelicot memoirs released in Croatian

The memoirs of Gisèle Pelicot, titled ‘Radost života’ (The Joy of Life), have been released in Croatian by the publishing house Petrine knjige.

Pelicot gained international recognition in 2024 for her decision to waive her right to anonymity during a major legal battle in Avignon, France. She stood against her husband, Dominique Pelicot, and dozens of other men accused of sexual abuse. Her actions turned her into a global icon for campaigns against sexual violence, prompting a shift in how shame is directed in such cases.

Following the conclusion of the trial, Pelicot was recognized by various institutions and named among the most influential people of the year by outlets such as the BBC and Time Magazine. In 2025, she was awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honour.
