GIST South Korea offers fully funded scholarships for 2027

The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in South Korea has opened applications for its 2027 academic year scholarship program. This fully funded opportunity is available to international students enrolling in Master’s, PhD, and integrated MS/PhD programs.

Benefits of the scholarship include full tuition coverage, one-way airfare, and monthly stipends. Master’s students receive a monthly allowance of 140,000 won, while PhD students receive 295,000 won. Additionally, food allowances and international student stipends are provided. Research assistants may also receive significant annual funding.

Available fields of study include Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical and Robotics Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics and Photon Science, Chemistry, Biomedical Science and Engineering, AI Convergence, Semiconductor Engineering, and AI Policy and Strategy.
