GITEX AI Mediterranean/Italy to launch in Rome in 2027

inD Events FZE has announced the inaugural GITEX AI Mediterranean/Italy, scheduled to take place on April 21-22, 2027, at the Roma Convention Center La Nuvola. The event is organized in strategic partnership with several Italian entities, including the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The launch comes as Italy’s technology market is projected to exceed US$92 billion by 2026. AI adoption among Italian enterprises reportedly doubled from 8.2% in 2024 to 16.4% in 2025, supported by the National Recovery & Resilience Plan (PNRR), which allocates €50 billion toward AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and smart industry. The event aims to serve as a global gateway, connecting international enterprises to commercial opportunities across the Mediterranean region.
