Giugliano to invest 600,000 euros in new security camera network

Giugliano is implementing a new video surveillance system to strengthen territorial control, involving an investment of 600,000 euros obtained through two separate funding sources.

The plan includes the installation of 56 new cameras across various strategic locations, including the coastal strip, access and exit points, the Ponte Riccio railway station, and the metro area. The first phase involves 31 cameras funded by 350,000 euros, with more than half of these units dedicated to the coastline, specifically along via del Mare in Licola and piazza Cristoforo Colombo.

A second phase will add 25 more cameras using an additional 250,000 euros to expand the network to major road junctions and sensitive security areas. The system is designed for territorial monitoring and license plate reading rather than increasing administrative sanctions.
