Giulia Cecchettin legacy continues through education and support services
Gino Cecchettin, father of Giulia Cecchettin, has participated in educational meetings in Mantova to promote respect and prevent gender-based violence. Approximately 600 students attended the sessions, which were organized by the Latoumano Aps association as part of the ‘Call for W Human’ project. The initiative aims to foster reflection on female dignity and individual responsibility among high school students.
In Grottaferrata, the ‘Casa di Semi-Autonomia Giulia Cecchettin’ has officially reopened to provide support for women victims of violence and their children. Managed by the Ponte Donna APS association, the facility uses a building previously seized from organized crime. The center serves as a transitional space for women moving out of emergency shelters, focusing on social and economic reintegration and personal autonomy. As of July 2026, the structure has begun hosting family units to ensure continuity of care.
