Giuliano Sarubbi represents Paraguayan community initiative at UN World Food Forum

Giuliano Sarubbi, a 22-year-old from Caazapá, Paraguay, participated in the World Food Forum 2026 held at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome. As the founder of Ñemotenonde Global, Sarubbi became the first Paraguayan youth-led community initiative to participate in the forum as a civil society organization.

During the event, which included addresses from UN Secretary-General António Guterres and other global leaders, Sarubbi advocated for the role of youth in combating hunger and poverty. He emphasized that global agendas must translate into concrete actions within local communities, stating, “I wanted the voices of young people working from our communities to be heard. Global decisions must become real opportunities at a local level.”

Ñemotenonde Global originated in Paraguay through training workshops for youth and families, later expanding its educational activities to Taiwan and India. In Rome, Sarubbi engaged with international representatives regarding education, innovation, rural development, and youth leadership.
