Giulianova celebrates culture with goldsmith award and Saltarello festival

In Giulianova, Abruzzo, goldsmith Giuliano Montaldi was honored with the special “Ambasciatore d'Abruzzo” prize during a ceremony at the municipal council hall, where he presented his new pendant “Il Duomo di San Flaviano” from the “I Love Abruzzo” collection. He thanked Mayor Jwan Costantini, local officials and Senator Stefania Pezzopane for their support.

The town also hosted the 16th Festival del Saltarello, a multi‑day event at the port and Palazzo Kursaal featuring master‑classes, concerts and dance workshops that highlighted traditional Abruzzese music and aimed to promote cultural inclusion. Performances included the Orchestra Popolare del Saltarello, a children’s choir using sign language, and a special concert by Goran Bregović’s Wedding & Funeral Orchestra.
